Ameeka Pannu, MD, selected as Director of Cardiac Critical Care in the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine
Ameeka Pannu, MD, has been selected as Director of Cardiac Critical Care. This is a new position that reflects our department’s expanding role in the critical care capacities at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Department Chair Daniel Talmor, MD, MPH, spoke about the responsibilities of this new position: “This important new role was developed as the department takes on greater responsibility for critical care in the Coronary Care Unit and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The new director will work under the Vice Chair for Critical Care, Todd Sarge, MD, to ensure that we continue to teach, learn, and innovate in this important area. Dr. Pannu already serves as the chair of the hospital code committee and has held leadership roles in our cardiac fellowship programs. This combination of experience will allow her to have an important positive impact on the care of all our patients with serious cardiovascular disease.”
