Mary Ann Stevenson, MD, PhD, is chief of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). She is also clinical co-director for Radiation Oncology BIDMC Cancer Center and an associate professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. She has been a member of the BIDMC medical staff for over 30 years, joining the Radiation Oncology faculty in 1992 and becoming chair of the department in 1999. She has also served as the chair of the Board of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC since 2015.

ABOUT RADIATION ONCOLOGY

Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s (HMFP) Department of Radiation Oncology provides exceptional patient care by highly trained and experienced professionals, matched with innovative equipment and software. Our multidisciplinary team consists of physicians affiliated with Harvard Medical School (HMS), board certified nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and physicists. The department also partners with specially trained administrators, social workers, nutritionists, and medical assistants to create individualized treatment plans based on specific patient needs.

HMFP Radiation Oncology physicians treat most types of leukemia; carcinoma; Hodgkin’s disease; sarcoma; and cancers of the breast, lung, liver, stomach, throat, and more. The team works closely with colleagues in the Departments of Surgery and Medical Oncology to ensure that all patients receive exceptional, coordinated care.
