An Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a Hospitalist in the Division of General Medicine, Dr. Vanka is an exemplary and thoughtful educator with a wealth of experience who will continue to foster our residents to become future leaders in medicine.

More than 40 new physicians (in-person and virtually) gathered for HMFP's spring orientation, where they were welcomed to HMFP by President and CEO, Alexa B. Kimball, MD, MPH and other HMFP and BIDMC leaders. The group was among 200+ physicians who joined HMFP since October 1.

Earlier this year, HMFP welcomed the physicians of Mount Auburn Professional Services (MAPS), the medical group affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital (MAH). The expansion will transition approximately 120 specialty physicians and builds on the longstanding relationship between BIDMC and MAH. "The MAPS addition is an exciting opportunity to expand our physician network throughout the metro Boston area," said President and CEO, Alexa B. Kimball, MD, MPH. "We 're excited about our Mount Auburn physician colleagues joining us and what we'll accomplishments for our patients together."
