Dr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Weinstein has been appointed Chief of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at BIDMC/HMFP Radiology and Vice Chair for Interventional Services, effective January 1, 2026. Jeff joined the Interventional Radiology section at BIDMC in 2015. Throughout his tenure, he has balanced a robust clinical practice with continuous and increasing engagement in teaching activities and educational administration, having served as Program Director for the Integrated and Independent Residency programs, and then as Vice Chair of Education and Lifelong Learning since 2024. Older Americans face significant barriers to advanced cardiovascular imaging, with cardiac CT, MRI, and PET scanners concentrated in large urban hospitals. A new nationwide study of over 64 million older U.S. Medicare patients has found that, despite a slight increase in the number of cardiovascular imaging centers between 2018 and 2021, access to advanced heart imaging remains limited, particularly for patients outside major metropolitan areas. Hadine Joffe, MD, MSc, has joined Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and its physician organization, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC (HMFP), as Chair of the Department of Psychiatry.
