Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within its core mission to advance the next generation of physician leaders. Some of those efforts include prioritizing the following:
- Provide ongoing professional development and other advancement opportunities through the Underrepresented Physicians in Medicine, Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement Fund (URRA).
- Provide annual mid-career physician leadership programs through The Partnership Inc., and Conexion.
- Offer mentorship opportunities through the following programs:
- Physician Leadership Program (PLP) – BIDMC/BILH
- Harvard Medical School (HMS)
- Departmental programs
- BIDMC and Bentley University MBA program
- Partner with BIDMC’s Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion on programs designed to increase the satisfaction of faculty and trainees underrepresented in medicine (UiM).
