Douglas Krakower, MD, has been appointed Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine. As Division Chief, Dr. Krakower will continue his 17-year affiliation with the Division of Infectious Diseases. An outstanding physician and mentor, a renowned researcher in HIV prevention, and a highly effective teacher, Dr. Krakower will continue to foster BIDMC’s culture of excellence in clinical care, research, and education in infectious diseases, while expanding its scope, expertise, and impact.
