Katja De Paepe, MD, PhD, Appointed Inaugural Associate Residency Program Director for Trainee Research and Scholarship

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Katja De Paepe, MD, PhD, as our inaugural Associate Residency Program Director for Trainee Research and Scholarship.

Dr. De Paepe is currently an assistant professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and the medical director of Ultrasound for the BIDMC Department of Radiology. Originally from Belgium, she is a radiologist specializing in abdominal and oncological imaging and has extensive international education, training, and professional experience from the University Hospitals/Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, the Institute of Cancer Research/Royal Marsden Hospital in London, and the University Hospitals of Cambridge.

This inaugural role of Associate Residency Program Director has been created to support and enhance resident scholarship within the Department of Radiology. Dr. De Paepe will oversee several key pillars of trainee scholarship, including enduring educational content development, mentorship, research activity tracking, grant submissions, resident research education, and helping to drive projects to completion and into published manuscripts.
