
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within its core mission to advance the next generation of physician leaders. Some of those efforts include prioritizing the following:
- Provide ongoing professional development and other advancement opportunities through the Underrepresented Physicians in Medicine, Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement Fund (URRA).
- Provide annual mid-career physician leadership programs through The Partnership Inc., and Conexion.
- Offer mentorship opportunities:

- Partner with BIDMC’s Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion on programs designed to increase the satisfaction of faculty and trainees underrepresented in medicine (URiM).

The GME Diversity Inclusion and Advocacy Council celebrated graduating Underrepresented in Medicine (URiM) residents and fellows at BIDMC at the annual URiM Send-Off Reception. - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center faculty and residents spoke with medical students from across New England at the Student National Medical Association regional conference hosted by Harvard Medical School.
