As temperatures rise around the world, so do concerns about the impact of extreme heat on pregnancy. New research led by Blair Wylie, MD, MPH, Chair of the BIDMC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, found that humid heat exposure during pregnancy was associated with increased odds of preterm birth, but this elevated risk was not observed among participants who took low-dose aspirin early in pregnancy.
