Ronald Iverson, MD, MPH, Honored as the PNQIN Diop Award Recipient

Ronald Iverson, MD, MPH, Department of OB/GYN Vice Chair of Quality, Safety, and Outcomes Equity, has been honored as the PNQIN Diop Award recipient by the Perinatal-Neonatal Quality Improvement Network (PNQIN) Board.

Dr. Iverson is a nationally recognized leader in perinatal quality improvement whose work has driven the adoption and statewide dissemination of AIM maternal safety bundles across Massachusetts. As PNQIN Co-Chair, he has led initiatives addressing severe maternal morbidity, opioid use disorder, and equitable care delivery, including advancing the implementation of the AIM Maternity Equity Bundle. His leadership has strengthened cross-hospital collaboration and translated data into actionable improvements in maternal outcomes across the Commonwealth.

The Diop Award recognizes individuals with a long-standing record of impacting perinatal care at the state, regional, or national level. Named in honor of its inaugural recipient, Dr. Hafsatou Diop, the award reflects a legacy of steadfast and visionary leadership in maternal and child health.
