Welcome Devon Harris, MD, to Our Clinical Team
We’re delighted to welcome Devon Harris, MD, to the Division of Gynecologic Oncology as a member of our clinical team. Dr. Harris trained here at BIDMC, first as an OB/GYN resident and, more recently, as a Gynecologic Oncology fellow.
Dr. Harris earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts T.H. Chan School of Medicine through its Global Health Track, building on years of hands-on public health work, first with the Peace Corps in Benin, then with AmeriCorps in Boston. That commitment to global health has stayed with her ever since.
Dr. Harris received the Resident Teaching Award in 2019, and her fellowship years brought a run of honors: the 2024 Best Clinical Abstract Award from the New England Association of Gynecologic Oncologists, the 2023 Outstanding Resident in Gynecologic Oncology Award from the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and BIDMC’s own 2023 Bridget Norton Humanitarianism in Medicine Award.
Her clinical and research interests span gynecologic oncology surgical care, global oncology, and cervical cancer prevention in resource-limited settings, including her research on cervical dysplasia outcomes among women living with HIV in Botswana, along with surgical financial toxicity and enhanced recovery after surgery protocols.
