Sara Neves, MD, named Vice Chair of Professional Affairs

Sara Neves, MD, has been appointed Vice Chair of Professional Affairs for the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at BIDMC. In this pivotal role, Dr. Neves will oversee clinician recruitment, credentialing, Harvard appointments, career development, and faculty review. Since joining our department ten years ago, Dr. Neves has been an outstanding clinician, educator and mentor, and is also very successful in her role as Director of our Primary Care Residency.

Dr. Neves earned her undergraduate degree at MIT, her MD from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, completed anesthesiology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital (where she served as Chief Resident), and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School.
