Tomas Walsh, MD, has been named the new Director of Quality and Safety (QSI) for Network Anesthesia. Dr. Walsh, an anesthesiologist at Mount Auburn Hospital, will lead the development, oversight, and evaluation of a comprehensive quality and safety program to improve clinical outcomes, enhance value, and minimize patient harm across community hospitals within the BILH network. He will work closely with our anesthesia QSI team to establish key quality and safety initiatives, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with the strategic priorities of the Network Anesthesia Team.

Dr. Richard Pollard, Vice Chair of Quality and Safety, announced the new appointment, adding that “Dr. Walsh’s experience and leadership in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical operations will help advance these important efforts a across the BILH network.”
