Adeel Seyal, MD, and Edgar Martinez, MD, Selected to Receive 2025 HMS Shore Fellowship Awards

Adeel Seyal, MD, (Mentor: Olga Brook, MD) and Edgar Martinez, MD, (Mentor: David Hackney, MD), have each been awarded a prestigious 2025 Harvard Medical School Shore Fellowship Award.

The fellowship is part of The Eleanor and Miles Shore Faculty Development Awards Program at Harvard Medical School. The award may be used for protected time from clinical, teaching, or other responsibilities to pursue academic work, including research, or develop a new clinical or teaching program.

Dr. Seyal’s winning project title is: “Quantitative Three-Dimensional (3D) Margin Analysis for Predicting Complete Pathologic Necrosis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Treated with Percutaneous Ablation”.

Dr. Martinez’s winning project title is: “A Retrospective Analysis of Ankle MRI Studies: Incidence of Peroneus Tendon Pathology in Patients with Accessory Peroneus Quartus Muscle”. 

This year’s selection process will culminate in a ceremony to honor all recipients in November 2025. Congratulations, Drs. Seyal and Martinez!
