Dr. Heather Jacene Honored as Red Sox Medical All-Star at Fenway Park
The Boston Red Sox honored Heather Jacene, MD, Chief of Molecular Imaging and Theranostics at BIDMC, as a Medical All-Star on June 12.
At each Friday home game during the regular season, the Red Sox recognize a Medical All-Star from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the Official Hospital of the Boston Red Sox, as part of the pregame festivities. Honorees are selected for going above and beyond for patients in exceptional ways and/or for making significant contributions to their field, medical research, or the BIDMC community.
A nationally recognized leader in nuclear medicine, Dr. Jacene serves as President of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), Clinical Director of Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT at BIDMC, Senior Physician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School.
Through her leadership in molecular imaging and theranostics, Dr. Jacene continues to advance innovation in imaging and treatment while contributing to patient care, research, education, and mentorship at both the local and national levels.
