2025 Society of Interventional Oncology and BIDMC Interventional Radiology Master Class Event Recap

On October 4 and 5, our Interventional Radiology team, in partnership with The Society of Interventional Radiology, hosted an internationally attended SIO Master Class event.

Held on the 11th floor of the Klarman Building, the event welcomed faculty, industry partners, and attendees from around the globe and featured our own Drs. Marwan Moussa and Vijay Ramalingam as this year’s host physicians and course directors. The master classes emphasized active learning and direct interaction with expert faculty, and showcased BIDMC IR’s world-class facilities.

Dr. Moussa kicked off the weekend by introducing the SIO MSK Master Class, which was a training offered to early career and mid-level physicians practicing musculoskeletal oncology, with a full-day experience of group case study scenarios, followed by an afternoon working alongside faculty.

The next day, Dr. Ramalingam introduced the SIO Breast Cryoablation Master Class, which was offered to ultrasound techs, and mammography, interventional radiology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology specialists, and included lectures and hands-on instruction with devices.
